nikos, paragios
Nikos Paragios Nikos Paragios is now full professor at the Ecole Centrale de Paris, one of the most prestigious engineering schools (Grandes Ecoles) in France leading the Information Processing Group at the Applied Mathematics and Systems laboratory (MAS).
Prior to that he was professor
(2004-2005) at the Ecole Nationale de Ponts et Chaussees, leading the Atlantis (vision & augmented reality) research group at the Center for Research in Computer Science (CERTIS), was affiliated with  Siemens Corporate Research (Princeton, NJ) as a project manager (leading the smart cameras and machine vision group) (2002-2004), senior research scientist (2004) at the Real-time Vision and Modeling Department and research scientist (1999-2003) at the Imaging and Visualiztion Department. In 2002 he was an adjunct professor at Rutgers University and in 2004 at New York University. Professor Paragios has co-edited three books (the first in Mathematical Methods in CV, the second in Level Set Methods and the third in Video-based Surveillance) and published more than fifty papers in the most prestigious journals and conferences of computer vision. His research interests include image processing, computer vision, augmented reality and medical image analysis. He is a Senior member of IEEE, member of the SIAM, member of the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Computer Vision and has served several times as a guest editor for the most prestigious journals of computer Vision.

yunmei, chen
Yunmei  Chen received her Ph.D. in Mathematics from Fudan University, China, in 1986, and joined with University of Florida since 1991. Chen currently holds the University of Florida Research Foundation Professorship at the Department of Mathematics, University of Florida, where she co-directs the Center for Applied Mathematics.  Her research interest is in partial differential equations, nonlinear analysis, and more recently, the mathematical modeling and algorithm development in bio-medical imaging science and computer vision. Her research efforts in the pure and applied mathematics have been continuously supported by grants and contracts from the National Science Foundation, the National Institutes of Health, and industry.

Olivier Faugeras is a Research Director at INRIA (National Research Institute in Computer Science and Control Theory), where he leads the Odyssée laboratory located in Sophia-Antipolis and Ecole Normale Supérieure, Paris. His research interests include the application of mathematics to computer and biological vision, shape representation and recognition, the use of functional imaging (MR, MEG, EEG) for understanding brain activity and in particular visual perception. He has received several awards: the Institut de France-Fondation Fiat award from the French Academy of Sciences for his work in Vision and Robotics (1989), the France Telecom award from the french Academy of Sciences for his work in Computer Vision and Geometry (1998), the World Technology Award (2001). He has been a member of the French Academy of Sciences since 1998 and chairs the Scientific board of the “Institut Français du Pétrole”, IFP.
